For further information regarding the ice conditions along the Austrian Danube, please visit the Notices to Skippers (NtS) website.
On the NtS-website click first on "All message types" and then select the desired ice message type from the drop-down box.
Available message types:
Ice message (ICEM) = Ice message for individual river sections according to NtS standard.
Enhanced ice report (EICEM) = Detailed report for each lock, including weather data, regarding the upstream area from the lock until the next lock. Exception: Lock Freudenau also covers the free flowing section east of Vienna.
Summary ice report (WEICEM) = Daily summary report for the entire Austrian Danube.
